Since 1995 altnews.com.au has been providing listserve services to many community and business organisations. For example, altnews was the driver who propelled the Australian Greens into the deep end of the Internet age with various distribution and discussion mailing lists for the National Greens Office and state branches from as early as 1996.

The 'lists.altnews.com.au Mailman Listserve' is powered by Ubuntu Linux and is set up and configured by Clemens Vermeulen. Clemens claims Intellectual Property Rights over the Open Source Operating System and Software configurations detailed herein.
