                                You treat us like trespassers

                                But it is you who trespass against us

                                Lead us not into extinguishment

                                But deliver us from this evil

                                Extinguishment means to bring about the extinction of.  

                                Which is not a nice thing for the Australian & South Australian Governments to be doing to Aboriginal Peoples as they are so openly doing; or anyone else for that matter.

                                    We need to ignite hope in survival not extinguish it.

                                extinguish:

                                1: put an end to; kill; "The Nazis snuffed out the life of many Jewish children" [syn: snuff out] 

                                2: put out, as of fires, flames, or lights; "Too big to be extinguished at once, the forest fires at best could be contained"; "quench the flames"; "snuff out the candles" [syn: snuff out, blow out, quench] [ant: ignite] 

                                3: extinguish by crushing; "stub out your cigar" [syn: stub out, crush out, press out] 

                                4: kill in large numbers; "the plague wiped out an entire population" [syn: eliminate, annihilate, eradicate, wipe out, decimate, carry off]

                                extinguish:

                                1.. To put out (a fire, for example); quench. 
                                2.. To put an end to (hopes, for example); destroy. See Synonyms at abolish. 
                                3.. To cause the non-existence of : do away with 
                                4.. To obscure; eclipse. 
                                5.. Law. 
                                1.. To settle a debt or other liability; by payment or other compensatory adjustment.  
                                2.. To nullify: "extinguished their title to the property"  
                                3.. To cause (as a claim or right) to be void : NULLIFY
