Our current poll is about the state government's control over water. Peter Beattie is considering taking control over water supply away from local councils. We want to know what you think about this. You will find the survey at http://polling.nationalforum.com.au/index.php?sid=8
The government is likely to make a decision at the end of next week, so I'll be doing my analysis for mid-next week. With Easter in the middle that means I would appreciate it if you could respond before you go away for your break. That way I can get some analysis done over the weekend. As always, if you know others who you think could be interested in completing the survey, please pass this email on to them.
If you are interested in results of our previous research, most of this is posted to http://whatthepeoplewant.net/ and on our blog, http://whatthepeoplewant.nationalforum.com.au/.
As you may be aware, the "What the people want" segment is no longer run on the ABC, but we are continuing to do our surveys and analysis, and publishing the results on the web. So far this year we have completed polls on the trial of Mulrunji Doomadgee and the New South Wales election. As usual the election polling accorded very closely with the result, proving that qualitative surveying has a place alongside quantitative.
Thanks for being part of our online research projects. As always, if you want to be removed from our mailings, please email me by return with "Unsubscribe" or "Remove" in the subject line.
Regards,
