My letter pasted below, sent via the workchoices webform.
Write your "wish list" now to the ALP.
via the ACTU webform here: www.rightsatwork.com.au/campaigns/labor
---------------------
Dear Mr Rudd, Ms Gillard, and the Labor party team,
The time has come for the ALP to show their hand on the nuclear issue. Will you support an expansion in this deadly industry or will you oppose this industry's expansion?
Will the ALP provide funding for renewable energy as to reduce our CO2 emissions and mitigate the worst effects of Climate Change?
Will your policies promote and fund solar power on all new buildings, boosted by wind power generators, fed back into the grid by individual properties? Will your policies call for the investment of taxes into Geothermal energy production for industrial uses for energy intensive industry?
Will your policies improve public transport making it reliable and accessible to all?
Such a policy will produce the effects of less personal car usage the flow on being a lesser need for greater road funding, thus a saving in our taxes.
Will your policies be based on the best interests of THE PEOPLE you are elected to represent, or will they better reflect the best interests of big business.
Finally, Will you abolish "Work Choices"?
I look forward to your reply.

Put fair workplaces first, Mr Rudd!
Dear Anne,
This year's federal election is the most important election in our lifetime. If the Labor Party loses, John Howard will take his extreme workplace laws even further.
In two weeks' time, the Australian Labor Party will meet for their National Conference, where they will thrash out their policies for the 2007 federal election.
We have seven days to make sure the ALP know how much we are counting on them to make fair and democratic IR policy their top priority. Use our website to email Labor Leader Kevin Rudd, Deputy Julia Gillard, and the Labor team now!

Together, unions and Rights at Work supporters have over the past 18 months decided on some guiding principles for fair workplace laws. These include: no AWAs, collective bargaining if the majority of workers want it, protection from unfair treatment and dismissal, a decent safety net, and the right for all workers to be represented by a union if they choose.
Email Mr Rudd and his team and ensure this important agenda for fair and democratic workplaces is at the top of their plans. Australia and Australians have plenty of big issues - IR needs to be number one.

The ALP are already well aware of poll results surrounding IR. A national ACTU poll showed 69% of people believe AWA individual contracts give too much power to employers. 71% believe that collective bargaining gives power back to workers and that this is a good thing. A Newspoll published last week found 51% of voters believed the IR changes were not good for the economy. It also found 84% of voters believed "Work Choices" would influence how they voted at this year's federal election.
The ALP know the facts and figures. Now we have to show them how passionate we are about rights at work. Email Mr Rudd and his team now.
As the ALP National Conference approaches on April 27, we will keep you informed about the effect of your lobbying.
Rights at Work, worth fighting - and voting - for.
Many thanks,
Greg Combet, Sharan Burrow, and the
Rights at work campaign team.
