Dear Anne,

I'll send the mail to Rudd, "the crud", but it'll be a waste of time. He has his orders, just as Howard, "the coward", has his.

  Hi,
Thanks for a cosy meeting lst night, good discussion and great to recap on our experiences past.
I have just had word from Gillian in Sydney, at ALP conference.
She reportts that the left are out-numbered and the only hope is to convince the right into keeping the current policy for the sake of the future of the planet.
  That is not an exageration.
Email Kevin Rudd now. Kevin.Rudd.MP at aph.gov.au (added)
(sorry, you have to find his email yourself i gotta put the baby to bed)
Tell him you will never vote Labour if you ever have, and his new found popularity will plummet.

A Morgan poll conducted in 2005 showed that 70% of Australians opposed
uranium mines in Australia and 77% of Australian Labor Party voters were also
  opposed to it.
These figures reflect the genuine concearn of the population in regard to the
known and unknown hazards of using uranium.

I strongly urge the Australian Labor Party at its April Conference to
continue it’s no new mines policy and consider the phasing out of uranium
mining, while supporting industry that can advance the use of environmentally
safe renewable resources for the future requirements of power in Australia.

  Yours sincerely……..

Ignoring this last opportunity could mean uranium everywhere -for everyone....and no turning back climate change..ever.

  Peace, Wayne

   "It is absolutely astonishing
to me that today knowing the state of the planet's oceans and the
importance of nature, that we would still use an area like Shoalwater
Bay to carry out an exercise that endangers it. I suspect that this is
far too well planned to turn around but I am with you in trying to stop
  this madness."
