Dear All,

I've been instigating a jack up over forced council amalgamations. I've been trying to get shire councils to blockade the major highways in Queensland, firstly till Beattie is removed as premier then till forced amalgamations are scrapped.

Anyway, while it looks as though the councilors are too piss weak to organize it, a grass roots movement is forming. There are people prepared to instigate the rolling blockades I've proposed out here. Are there any in your neck of the woods?

Below I've posted the mail I've sent to all councilors in Queensland, feel free to circulate it and have interested parties contact me. Lets show the doubters in The Greens how to "smash" the major parties. If you've got the ticker for the job!

To all shire councilors.

Dear Shire Councilors,

I've been a political activist for 20 odd years. My goal is to restore democracy to Australia. I realized from the start this would mean beating the major parties as they are all too corrupted to fix. I have spies in all the major parties but in the Queensland Labor Party I have one who's pretty highly placed.

I thought u might like to know that as far as those at the top of the party and the pollies are concerned, your efforts to stop forced amalgamations are a joke! As far as they are concerned there's, "buggar all votes in the bush, so screw them." That's a quote from someone u know and love.

I am going to give u a strategy which will finish forced council amalgamations and Beattie in Queensland if u've got the clout and the ticker to pull it off. I've got the ticker but not the clout. But I'll be there on the front line if this protest gets up.

Quite simply, the people of the bush close down every major highway in the state till the stupid city slickers who voted for Beattie drag him out of parliament house, tar and feather him and ride him out of town on a rail. The colorful demand is for the press, but if a large group of townies happened to take the bush at it's word, so much the better. Refuse to negotiate while Beattie is premier. If u force him out, no one will argue with the bush again. U'd give the bush a heap of political clout.

The way to do the blockades is in a series of rolling blockades. When the coppers order one lot to disperse another lot appear miles away. If the coppers start arresting people instead of giving them the option to cease and desist, place cockatoos and bolt before they get there. If they put choppers in the air they get an escort of mustering choppers. Give no warning and once u start don't stop till Beattie's gone. A week or two should do it.

There may be a way to block the highways and negate the confrontation with the law if shires have the power to close main highways for repairs. I'm sure they do. I doubt our lawmakers ever envisaged a time when Local Government would be at war with the State Government. So I doubt there's a law against it.

Pick a day, then every shire along the major highways can shut them for repairs till Beattie scraps amalgamation. That would wipe his stupid smile off his face!

To all Shire Councilors.

Dear Sir/Madam,

As local government representatives you are the only politicians still democratically elected in Australia. Excerpt, that is, for the councils where party politics has intruded. Once the labor and Liberal parties are involved, democracy goes out the window. The parties decide who the people get to vote for. Naturally they only endorse people they can control. I'd label their tactics dictatorial.

As the last representatives of democracy in Australia I'd say you are duty bound to fulfill the wishes of the majority of people in your wards. Your proposed referendum, while sure to confirm an overwhelming migratory who oppose Beatties forced amalgamations, will take time. Time Beattie isn't going to give you.

Failure isn't an option. If you fail to prevent Beattie from carrying out his plans, you should all kill yourselves. That's one thing the Japanese did have right. If a person fails in his or her duty, the only honorable action is suicide.

I'd guarantee that if your choice was beat Beattie or die, there wouldn't be a highway open in Queensland today. I know I wasn't the first to suggest blockade. Richmond Shire and a couple of others proposed it right at the beginning. The people I've spoken to claim the other shires ran out of ticker. Now, if lack of ticker is the problem, I've asked the local supermarkets to put it on special. Go get some!

      DO NOT FAIL!

To all Shire Councilors.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Are you ready to blockade the major highways in Queensland yet? Or are you going continue to whine like kicked dogs while Australia slips further into dictatorship? Beattie has forced his legislation through parliament while Howard condemns him for following his lead, simply because he's facing an election. It's all a sham, designed to trick the electors into believing their only choice is to allow either the Labor or Liberal parties to dictate to them.

The people have had enough! However, they lack leadership and can see no way to get out of the trap. You people have, by in large, been democratically elected to carry out the will of your electorate. Your electorate overwhelmingly doesn't support forced council amalgamations. Therefore you are obliged to prevent them.

The soft options you have perused so far have been completely ignored by Beattie and his cohorts. Confrontation is the only language these people understand.

In my original mail I outlined the strategy that would prevent Beattie from continuing as premier of Queensland and guarantee that forced amalgamations would be scrapped. But you would also demonstrate to the Australian people that we don't have to accept dictatorship in any way, shape or form! The latter, is probably the most important.

So, again, I implore you, if you won't confront Beattie for your own jobs, confront him for your country. This is about our last throw of the dice. If Australians fail to take control of our destiny very soon, we'll see our nation crumble into anarchy!

Be in no doubt, our future depends on you people.

Do Not Fail!
