[Green-Activist] Protectors of Indigenous animals need support- Catani gardens

This film is about the ongoing persecution of possums and their defenders at
Catani Gardens in St Kilda, courtesy the local public purse.

The film maker rang me this morning to let me know that the police had been
called as she (again) stood in front of cherry pickers to stop them putting
bands on the trees which deprive the animals of shelter and also prevent
them from leaving the crowns of the trees where they sleep, in order to
feed, unless they jump (risking serious injury)

 

In case you think there ‘must be some good reason if the ‘authorities’ are
doing this’, consider the evidence in the film.

 

I have seen the palms and the possums and I have attempted to get sensible
explanations from the Port Philip Council but to no avail.
