Dear Sheila,

I'd drop the Victorian government a letter on this if i thought it'd do any good.  But seeing as how they are a labor government, controlled by the Christian right, i'd be wasting my time.

If anyone bothered to watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle" last week u would have had a lesson in the lengths these people will go to discredit the green movement.  That piece of propaganda was funded by the Christian Right.  I'll bet u any money u like on that.

The stupid part about it though, was that although it was supposed to debunk global warming all it could say was that global warming is happening, but humans aren't responsible.  Sea levels aren't rising, land is sinking.  Ice melt doesn't raise sea levels, linear expansion does.  If u believe that, i've got a great deal on the Sydney Harbour Brtidge for u!

If we'd have had the same opportunity thirty years ago to put the pro global warming case, humans might have demanded action in plenty of time to reverse it.

But did u notice that as soon as the woman in the audience even got close to the human overpopulation question, the commentator dropped her like a bag of salt. 
Not only that, pro global warming advocates spoke of a nine billion human population as if it was inevitable and not the cause of the entire environmental problem.

No mention was made of the billion or so people who live on, or gain their sustenance from, land no more then one meter above sea level.  Even if someone is stupid enough to believe humans can breed like flies and get away with it, how can they not wonder where those people are going to live, or gain their sustenance from, in the very near future?

There's nowhere for them to go, as every country in the world is at unsustainable population levels right now.  Food production on the remaining arable land after the inundation of the low lying land, won't cope.  So very shortly we will have a billion or so starving refugees, nobody wants.  I don't think they will lay down and die.  They'll decide to take what they need.  Anarchy up!

I'll harp on this as long as i have breath in me, but until we take control of our destiny from the maniacs who hold power today, we're all dead.

  The Channel Deepening, Melbourne 2030 population offensive, and the terrible planned development in Hastings are all connected and depend on Victorians not being heard.

   

  No filming has yet been allowed at the Channel Deepening process.   Early tapes of procedures were defective and are not available.

  One barrister has withdrawn because he was not allowed to cross examine the expert witnesses.

  This is not a court but it is behaving like a court.

  This is an abrogation of justice.  Stand up against this style of government before things get even worse!
