Pierre,

I was talking about Alvin Toffler's book. I haven't looked at you're bloke
yet.

There's one thing i can tell u. There's not one of us who can figure a way
out of this mess, besides wholesale slaughter, of us and pretty much
everything else. Certainly, the world as we know it.

But together we probably can find a way through which keeps us going and
everything else, "as we know it".

I know i keep looking for ideas. A good idea makes something happen.
"Clean Up Australia" came about because me and a couple of mates sucking
piss at a back yard barbie came up with a good idea for roadside litter
bins. The good idea doesn't have to be that earth shattering to start
something positive.

I will have a look at u're site.

Jay and everyone,

Re: Some clarifications regarding earlier concerns about our email

The use of the address "basic at wavesofthefuture.net" (same domain as
website) made it clear that it was a communication from the publisher. We
did not make any "recommendation" statement. We only explained the reason
for the posting: that the book would interest people.

Because we are a small publisher, it takes longer to bring a book to
people's attention, and comments/ratings are slow to show up on sites like
Amazon. You can help in that.

We will get involved in discussions if it turns out that people are
serious and interested. The book is very reasonably priced ($25.00 with
free shipping at Amazon.com or cheaper) and the money goes to a green
publisher. Most libraries can bring it in for free for you if they do
not already have it.

In my view, if you are looking for bold new ideas (as opposed to rehashing
the old ones), I would be extremely surprised if this book disappoints
you. It could turn things around for the environment. Whether it does
or not remains to be seen. You should all at least check it out. The
full introduction and a detailed table of contents are on our website.

We welcome your comments either here or through our website. Please,
judge the book on its own merits, not external factors or the opinions of
people who have not read it. Consider posting your comments on
Amazon.com, .uk, etc. (no purchase required) and other websites after
reading it. It will only help others evaluate it.

Frank, "economic feasibility" is strongly emphasized in the book. I hope
that answers your question regarding optimism, and thanks for your
interest.

Thanks.

Pierre.
