This is a pro quality model widely used in broadcast situations and all the comments I've read are overwhelmingly positive. RRP is $995.00, and specialist broadcast equipment suppliers such as Elan Audio have them for around $845.00. Now for the best bit: I have been able to negotiate a price of $480.00 per unit if we buy a few at once. At that price we could have 4 for the studios plus 2 spare! This deal is from Terry Gibson at Buzz Music, who have supplied our turntables and distribution amplifiers. Availability on the CD players is mid-January '07. If we go with this particular model, I suggest that they be installed in a small rack-mounting unit. This is better than simply stacking one player atop another, as the rack unit would allow the players to be removed and serviced individually, without disturbing anything else. I'm currently researching rackmount options and pricing. I have attached a PDF file of the operating manual for the Denon DNC635 (it's black, by the way). Let me know what you think. Thanks everybody! Paul Vandersar -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I have reviewed the information and personally consider that your choice is highly suitable for our requirements and would add my recommendation to yours. Especially considering the price that you have been able to negotiate. I commend you. As for the rack mounting, that sounds eminently suitable too. Re the purchasing of the racks. I feel sure your choice will satisfy our needs.
